Robin and Lola cosplay: Big Hero Booty

No I'm not sorry for that title. But yeah, this is a commission from Who sadly is no longer on DA after a dispute with the site moderators, but he's still active elsewhere and I managed to get a commission slot.

So yeah, Big Hero 6 was a pretty kickass movie, I liked the action, the animation, the characters, the nuanced handling of grief, the recognition that while science can be misused it is also the primary tool for making things better, and mechanics and aesthetics of the villain's nano-swarm methods. So box and I decided to commission two of our gals dressing up for it in costumes that I'm sure Jess made, so they'd probably hold up for a few patrols of the meaner parts of

Of course these designs take a few liberties with the source material, for some reason Robin has more posterior here than she has any right to and certainly more than Gogo Tomogo did, but she otherwise suits the no-nonsense tomboy's attitude. Lola is of course on point with her adorkable Latina charms, and apparently Honey Lemon was also Latina herself? I didn't catch that myself on first viewing.

This commission also marks the first time I'm explicitly experimenting with portraying Robin as Asian, my thoughts so far are that this doesn't really change much on either a design or conceptual level, but it also doesn't immediately feel wrong... I'd be glad to have insight or input from anyone interested.
